Breast Cancer Connections of Palo Alto is a great resource. If you have breast cancer of any kind, at any stage, they can help. They have buddy systems, oodles and boodles of books and information, art therapy classes, open houses. And best of all: it is free.
Breast Cancer Connections has an open house weekly. A doctor and a therapist “staff” the night each week, and the kind of doctor rotates: oncology, general surgery, radiation oncology, and plastic surgery for reconstruction. It is a great place to come to meet other women with breast cancer, get information, and be able to ask questions to someone who is not your doctor directly.
530-7pm, 390 Cambridge Ave in Palo Alto, this Thursday November 4.
I’ll be there.
