Office Philosophy

Small and Private

Dr. Lauren Greenberg’s office is a solo practice set in a small, boutique office. I value one on one attention, a natural setting, and privacy. After 21 years at Welch Road on Stanford’s campus (where I trained for General & Plastic Surgery) in Palo Alto, I have moved to a new larger office in Menlo Park. Most surgery is performed in a private surgery center located nearby in Palo Alto. Our intimate office and surgical settings provide me the opportunity to know each patient as an individual and offer a superior level of attention and detail. Furthermore, as a female plastic surgeon and mother who has lived in the Bay Area for over twenty five years, I am in a unique position to understand the specific needs and concerns of my female patients. I am the kind of woman who ends up in my office.

one-on-one personal doctor attention

My assistant Justine helps with all patient scheduling, billing, and administrative processes. She has a great rapport with patients. There are no nurse practitioners or “patient coordinators” on staff, however, because I prefer to meet with each patient personally for all visits—consultations, pre-operative, and post-operative.

Due to my individualized treatment approach, I receive most clients from word-of-mouth referrals. These patients come as sisters, mothers, daughters, husbands, or best friends of previous clients. I see these referrals as an immense compliment. These referrals are from people who know my results and style of doctoring firsthand, so many travel from all over California. I have patients from northern California near Mendocino to inner California near Tracy to south near Carmel and Monterey. Some come from out of state. Of course most patients are from the San Francisco area, in cities like Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Los Altos, Saratoga, Los Gatos, and the East Bay.

Natural Results

I emphasize natural looking results in all my work. Many of my patients are not plastic surgery “types.” They are well-adjusted individuals with solid self-esteem. They do not want people to know they had cosmetic surgery. They want to look like themselves, just a “better” version. I excel at achieving subtle, natural results that enhance my patients’ existing features.

The office of Lauren Greenberg, M.D. offers a full-service cosmetic surgery clinic. In addition to surgical work, she offers non-surgical procedures such as BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport®, skin care with Obagi® and her own line of products, facial resurfacing with Blue peels / TCA peels, and soft tissue fillers with Restylane®, Perlane®, JUVÉDERM®, Voluma®, and Sculptra®. If you would like to learn more about the different services, or set up a consultation with an experienced female plastic surgeon, please contact my Bay Area cosmetic surgery practice in Palo Alto today.

Patient Education

In addition to personalized care and privacy, I stress patient education and input. Many patients tell me I educated them more than any other plastic surgeon they have seen, and most have seen multiple doctors. I describe each cosmetic procedure in detail, as well as the options with all the pros and cons.

I value patient input. My patients help decide the surgery course when in a gray area, such as whether breast augmentation or breast lift is the best option. This approach to cosmetic surgery allows me to combine my expertise as a female plastic surgeon with the goals of my patients. I define success by a happy patient.

Choosing elective cosmetic surgery can be a stressful decision. It is important you find a surgeon you can trust. I am honored to have earned that trust.
