Lauren Greenberg, M.D.. - A Bay Area Female Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Lauren Greenberg's office is a solo practice set in a small, boutique style office across from Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto.
Most of our surgery procedures are performed in one of two private surgery centers located nearby in Palo Alto and Menlo Park. This intimate office and surgical setting provides me with the opportunity to get to know each patient on an individual basis and offer a superior level of attention and detail. Furthermore, as a female plastic surgeon and mother who has lived in the Bay Area for over a decade, I am in a unique position to understand the specific needs and concerns of my female patients. I am the kind of woman who ends up in my office.
My two assistants, Marty and Caitlin, help with all patient scheduling, billing, and administrative processes and have a great rapport with patients. There are no nurse practitioners or “patient coordinators” on staff, however, because I prefer to meet with each patient personally for all visits—consultations, pre-operative, and post-operative.
Philosophy
Due to my individualized treatment approach, I receive a great many clients from word-of-mouth referrals. These patients come as sisters, mothers, daughters, husbands, or best friends of previous clients. I see these referrals as an immense compliment since they come from people who know my results and my style of doctoring firsthand.
With these direct referrals, my patients travel from all over California: from northern California and Mendocino, San Francisco, the East Bay, San Jose, Saratoga and Los Gatos, Carmel and Monterey, down to Los Angeles. I have many patients that come in from out of state. Choosing to do elective cosmetic surgery can be a stressful decision. It is important that you find a surgeon whom you can trust. I am honored to have earned that trust.
In addition to personalized care, I stress patient education and input during the treatment process, as well as privacy and patient confidentiality. Both male and female patients have told me that I have educated them more than any other plastic surgeon they have seen—most patients have seen three or four doctors already. I describe each cosmetic procedure in detail, as well as the options with all the pros and cons.
Furthermore, I value patient input. My patients help decide the surgery course when it is in a gray area, such as whether breast augmentation or a breast lift is the best option to achieve desired results. This approach to cosmetic surgery allows me to combine my expertise as a female plastic surgeon, who understands my patient population in Palo Alto and the Bay Area, with the actual expectations of my patients to produce an outcome that makes us both happy.
I thoroughly emphasize natural-looking results in all my work. Many of my patients are not plastic surgery “types.” They tend to be well-adjusted individuals with solid self-esteem. They do not want people to know they have had cosmetic surgery performed. They want to look like themselves—just a “better” version. I excel at achieving subtle, natural results that enhance my patients’ existing features.

Palo Alto Office Hours
The office is open daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday though Friday. I see patients in the clinic every Monday and Thursday, with additional time as needed. Surgery is done on the other days. Patients are seen by appointment only.
