Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)

Aging around the eye is the first sign of facial aging. Removing excess skin helps with opening up the eye, relaxing forehead wrinkles, and making the eye look “less tired.” Blepharoplasty is the most common surgery Dr. Greenberg performs on people in their 40s. Combined with fat transfer for facial volume loss, the results seemingly reverse time, to give you a refreshed look. The surgery can be done under local anesthesia.

Fat Transfer

Dr. Greenberg has been a huge advocate of fat transfer for years. Her most common surgery for people in their 40s is blepharoplasty with fat transfer to the face. Fat transfer has two big effects. First, it adds volume. As you age you lose facial fat. Using micro fat transfer, fat volume is restored to the deeper tissue. Using injection of nanofat into the skin, you can reverse fine lines and wrinkles. Second, fat transfer brings stem cells. Stem cells improve the quality of the overlying skin, making it look rosy and soft again. The fat is injected all over the face, to give a little browlift, enhance the chin, smooth the lines around the mouth, and make the eye look less tired. The results are beautiful and subtle. It’s as close as we have come to “reversing time” so far.
