Future face: what will you look like at age 60?

Posted on July 1, 2012

I just got my summer 2012 Skin Cancer Foundation Journal.  As always, juicy little skin health tidbits.

I know your attention span is short during the summer. (Are you even checking things online? Get outside and enjoy the summer!) But knowing you are outside a lot during the summer, I liked this little photo they showed.

Future face”  Up to 90% of visible changes commonly attributed to aging are caused by the sun.

Then they had a woman with her current photo (age 40), and the projections of how she will look at age 60 with sun protection and how she will look at age 60  without sun protection.

It mirrors what was seen in my prior blog of the truck driver.  Simple message: wear sunscreen. If not to protect you from skin cancer, wear it so  you don’t look old and wrinkled when you are 60.
