The Aesthetic Society published the 2011 stats. For those who took the quiz on my facebook page, here are the answers….
The top 5 surgical procedures are:
Liposuction
Breast augmentation
Abdominoplasty (Tummy tuck)
Eyelid surgery
Breast lift
Top nonsurgical cosmetic procedure?
Botox, followed by soft tissue fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Perlane, Sculptra)
Other interesting tidbits:
- 2/3 of breast implants done are now silicone gel
- Men are increasingly doing plastic surgery procedures, with 800,000 doing cosmetic procedures last year (though women did 8.4 million procedures)
